By enrolling in a course provided by JKU & Co Pty Ltd (trading as Abacus 4 Kids; ABN: 13944217866), you agree to be legally bound by the following terms and conditions (these "Enrolment Terms and Conditions").

 

A reference in these Terms and Conditions to "we", "us" or "our" is a reference to Abacus 4 Kids.

 

Abacus 4 Kids reserves the right to alter the terms and regulations from time to time.

 

 

1. Your Declaration

By enrolling the course with us, you
1.1 Declare that you are the parent, guardian and/or the person with authority and/or responsibility for the enrolled child or children. By enrolling the named child or children, you understand, agree with and consent to the following terms and conditions made with Abacus 4 Kids.

 

1.2 Confirm that all the information you’ve given us in connection with your enrollment is complete, true and correct at the time it’s given.

 

1.3 Accept that it’s your responsibility to ensure that the personal information you provide to us is kept current. Any changes to your name, address, email address, phone numbers should be updated via the parent portal as soon as possible by you.

 

2. Payment & Refund

2.1 Term fees are calculated according to Victoria school term which is due 7 days before the first session of each term. The unpaid fee may result in suspension of your child from attending classes until the fee is paid.

 

2.2 Non-refundable one-off enrolment fee of $90 per student is required to secure booking prior to the commencement of the course. The enrolment fee is to cover the cost of 1 abacus tool, first 3 levels of the course books, admin related matters and a bag pack. The course book thereafter will cost $13 each. 
 

2.3 Enrolment and tuition fee are to be paid according to the arrangement mentioned in the invoice.

2.4 Abacus 4 Kids reserves the right to adjust the fee of the course from time to time.

3. Attendance and Absence
3.1 Student have to attend all classes. There will be no refund for missed classes. Each student will be able to reschedule for up to 2 makeup classes per term. The make up class has to be done within 2 weeks of the missed class date during the same term. In a case of the missed class date falls on the last week of the term, make up has to be done within the first week of the following term. In the event where the makeup class has been arranged but the student did not turn up or change of mind, there will not be an additional arrangement for makeup.

3.2 Abacus 4 Kids have the right to cancel any class provided an alternative arrangement is made to compensate.

 

4. Homework Policy
4.1 Practice at home on the abacus should be done at least 3 times a week. If the student does not finish 3 days of homework, the instructor will ensure the student finishes up to 3 days of homework before moving to the next session. Parent/guardian is responsible for checking the homework answers each time (For optimal achievement, parents are encouraged to be involved during the practice).

4.2 It is parent's responsibility that to check the homework answers prior to the class.

5. PAMA International Grading Exam

4.1 Students who are at Level 10 and onwards are compulsory to sit for PAMA International Grading Exam twice a year. The cost of the each exam is $38. This is to ensure students are keeping up with the international standards throughout their learning journey.

6. Material Use & Copyright
6.1 Study material is not allowed to be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise for personal or commercial use without written permission from Abacus 4 Kids.

​

6.2 Each new book after completion of the previous level will incur a fee of $13 per book. In a case of student drop out the course before completion, further book/material will not be given out.

​

6.3 Any replacement of book/study material or abacus due to loss or damage will be at parent’s cost.

​

7. Expectation in the Class
7.1 Student is expected to respect instructor and classmates and be courteous and polite. Bullying, physical or verbal abuse will not be tolerated.

7.2 Food is not allowed during classes except for drinking water.

​

8. Privacy

8.1 All information collected upon enrolment will be used merely for enrolment purpose which is not limited to our third party online system (as current, tutorbird.com). We will not sell your information to third party for commercial use.
